How are the dinosaur sounds made?
I'm interested to know how they made the dinosaur calls.

Uh, no. Dondi's directive was to have the game sound feel close to the movies, but all of the vocals are created from scratch by using real animal elements from wildlife sound libraries. I've gone in-depth on the actual process elsewhere. I hear there's this amazing new thing called Search you can use to find older posts.

They take a sound, that could be an animal's sound slown down, or a sound they find around the interent or something, and they modify it in many way by also mixing other sound seither to complete it in lenght, or just add more depth to it, like hisses, rumbles, breathing noises, ecc...
That's ruffly how they are made I think.

Isn’t the barking sound actually a stock tortoise grunt that was really hard to find? I think Ark uses it, too.

It’s a good way to make them sound like Velociraptors without getting sued (just use the same source).
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
