worst company holds some of the best games hostage, it's rayman all over again :(
As far as complaints go make sure your uplay account is in the same/similar region as your steam account or else you won't be able to activate the game. Hopefully ubisoft support can fix this issue for me.
In closing, here is an attempt I once made on Trackmania Nations/United Forever to hit 1,000 kph: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wynJpF8HEXo
ERROR.
UPLAY FOUND.
FUN VALUE NEGATIVE.
Yep, I got one fried DVD unit due to StarForce.
It's true that in the good old days StarForce ruined your PC. In these new days, Ubi & Uplay ruined Nadeo & Trackmania.
Yes, I did. I contacted the starforce guys, and they told me to go to Russia with it, and if the drive was really broken AND I could demonstrate beyond a doubt that it was because of StarForce, they would pay me the travel costs. Otherwise, go ♥♥♥♥ myself. Yeah, sure.
After that, Florent started calling all of us complaining liars and pirates (I have bought every single Trackmania until now, BTW), and saying something about StarForce being the perfect way to distinguish the idiots in the community (us complaining). I don't remember exactly the words, it was many years ago (2006-2008?). I just chose to forget about it, buy the games and then... well, you can imagine. And it worked MUCH better.
TM: Turbo marks to me the end of Nadeo. It's not only Uplay, it's the consolization of the game: no dedis, no LAN, barely a pinch of the old customization. Everything that Ubi, EA or Acti touch, rots. I knew this would happen the moment Ubi bought Nadeo. It's a pity, but we had a few great years. And it's a miracle that they managed to release the TM2 games without the Uplay cancer. They should have forgotten about ManiaPlanet, though. The separation of the games destroyed much of the community.
But hey, we still have the old Trackmanias. In the end, we'll keep playing the old TM:U, because at least we can play different environments in LAN without having to change games.
Great games, bad bad decissions at the top.
have some
Why is the game cheaper to buy for PS4 and Xbox than it is to buy it on Steam? I mean it's even cheaper to buy it direct from Ubisoft!!
