What tools were used in making this? It looks great btw

I just bought this game. I'm just wondering how many hours of gameplay I can expect from it. I know it's hard to answer that because you don't know how often I die. As promised by the video I die A LOT. OK., maybe a better question is how many levels are there? By levels I mean the sections between an entrance doorway and an exit doorway. Sorry for being obvious but I'm new to the platformer genre. Nice game, BTW. Really hard for a neanderthal like me....
