What is offsides?
All my defenders except the goaltender are lined up high. One or two players from the other team in the rank between them and my goalkeeper. The ball on the other half of the field. A pass to the other teams player with no one in that row except him or possibly another player on his team. He shoots, he scores. It counts. Very confused.

If you pass from your own half of the field, there is no offside

Thanks.
What if you pass from the other fellow's half of the field as that happens to?

It's definitely not like that in real-life football, and I don't see any mention of that exception in the Footballpedia, so either the situation is not exactly like the OP described it (maybe they overlooked a defender standing far away on the wing), or this was probably a bug that should be addressed. Offsides in this game are extremely rare anyway, so whatever happened is not likely to happen often.

If it will keep my formatting the situation was like this. The upper O having the ball and passing through my line to the lower O who shot it past the G. Note it did just correctly call off sides on me. (Didn't keep formatting trying dashes)

------------------------ O

--------------X X X X X
-------------O
------------------G

Was it a lofted pass, or a long pass? Either way, it looks like that should indeed have been flagged for offside. It would have been legal if it were a layoff pass and the receiver started the action in line with your defenders, though.
