How does it work:
For example, the fate of the footballer is as follows:
20% / 30% / 30% / 20%
It's kind of useless distribution but many young footballers have this. In the game, it can be something like 10/15/15/10
When a young footballer is generated, his main attribute can get the random +/-10% fluctuation. If it's -10%, and the main attribute is DEF, it will be something like 22% /25% /20% /23%. But he can also get +10%. So it will be 18% /25% /30% /17%.
It can be in a range (-10;10), not exactly 10%.
When you upgrade the coach to the first level, you still can have a worse player than without the coach. But this time the effect on the main attribute will be (-7;13) so there are chances to get better distribution of the attributes.
Still the previous footballer without the coach might randomly have +10%, and coach made the next footballer -7%. You can think that the coach is bad. But this bad effect is made by +/- 10% RNG, not the coach.
Therefore, when you get the new footballers with the worse distribution, it's the effect of the +/-10%. Continue upgrading the coach, and you will love the new footballers ;)
Before this new DLC my games stalled when I had neglected my new players. But now I find myself balancing with the veterans and the juniors, since my juniors have far greater potential than my old veterans (thanks to the giftedness system). And since my juniors are great (forward with 90 acc!) I can keep my team getting even better, not worse because I have to replace older players.
I had 11/8/9/13 Giftedness 1
And my coach is 2 star (4th level) : =12% +/-10%
My result is 22/5/5/9 so i think 27% was applied ( but the max is 22%)
Below is how i calculated it

The footballer which might have appeared from the Youth Academy can't serve as an etalon.
He also has +/-10% effect.
So you mean in the message, "Player 1" isn't the direct modification of "Player 2" ?
The Player 1 is the +12% +/-10% modificationof the undisplayed player
The Player 2 is the +/-10% modification of the undisplayed player
In my case :
We have an undisplayed player 13/8/9/11
Player 1 (22/5/5/9) can be +22% of the undisplayed player
Player 2 (11/8/9/13) would be -5% of the undisplayed player
I think the "Player 2" stats makes the message confusing
Could you display the original player ?
"Original player" was went to the youth academy when he was very young. His attributes don't make sense because you wouldn't know them anyway. You would get either skewed attributes by your Youth Academy or improved attributes by the coach.
His improvement is based on the footballer's fate in the first place. But dedication can improve that anyway.
