Game balanced for number of turns
The game was balanced for playing games with the number of turns set higher than 48 by giving reduced glory for individual league leaders. Also, I believe there was something done to the skill points since players get more in longer games.

Playing 90 turns in Hard mode leads to your players atop the leaderboard with no real competition since there is more saves, goals, assist, and tackles with the ai vs ai games being simulated at 48 turns. That's why the developers reduced the glory given for the league/cup leaders when playing longer games.

How does everyone like this (work around) balance to the game? I say work around because it seems easier to just simulate the ai vs ai games at the same length. But, the reason given was that the scores would be unrealistic (high). Although, the player vs ai (longer) games will certainly be unrealistic with nothing to compare to or compete with on the leaderboards. One just ends up with reduced glory and no competition.

The update in July stated the following with regards to balance.

"In the 60/90 action modes, the amount of Glory for reaching Top-10 is decreased
In the 60/90 action modes, the amount of xp needed for the next specialization level is increased in 1.25/1.8 times respectively."

I don't want more glory, but rather, some competition for that glory. Otherwise, it as though it is not earned but given for choosing to play with 90 turns.

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but IMO the only way to really work around it is to play on 48 turns as the game was initially designed/balanced for.

I am trying a 48 turn game now. Only in the 3rd season. It is not as tactical as the longer games. Thus, it is not as fun, and I look to another game.

From what I see, many players who play 90 actions don't score more than 3-4 goals.

So when they see that AI teams score like 7-9, they would say that the game is imbalanced. So, in either way, some players say that the game is not balanced.

From my pov, 48 actions mode is more affected by RNG than 90 action mode, but it is very intense and tactical anyway. You just don't have right for a mistake. You should clearly understand all your game possibilities and use them. There is less positioning, more pure action.

If ai games of 48 turns normally have low scores like 2-1 or 1-0, I would assume 90 turn ai games would be only double that. This would be comparable to my games even accounting for the random 8 goal game. More goals = more fun. 48 turn games lead to alot of 0-0 games as you methodically go through the seasons to build your team. Another item to consider is during 90 turn games, my gk is the leader in saves no matter if I finish first or last in the league. 48 turns = RNG = luck, 90 turns = Football Tactics. I have played 60 turns and it is fun but unbalanced due to winning all the glory at the end of season awards without any competition except between my own players. I just make my top goal scorers and assist players tie for 1st to game the system.

I personally have no issue with the way simulation works now, but I like to throw out ideas :steamhappy:

This could totally break your game but it's just an idea. If you maybe change the time increments between moves in the sim match. Meaning, instead of each move taking 2 minutes time; let it take more, like 5 minutes or more? ONLY FOR AI SIM MATCHES, not in a Player vs AI or Player vs Player games lol

It has nothing to do with luck; it has everything to do with positioning your players in a way you can exploit an opening in the opposing defense, while keeping your own defense tight by the right combination of skills, talents, classes, and positions. THAT is Football Tactics.

90 turns is just a circus where games end 5-4 all the time.

To each his own.

I just wished the game was truly balanced such that 1st place individual awards (goals, assist, tackles, and saves) wasn't a given even with bad teams. Otherwise, the game is excellent. 60 turn is my favorite.
