train them, build them up, sell them or keep them.
the game is very logical and not difficult.
Thanks man.
But, if you select EXPECTED the game seems much easy?
I'm new player in strategy games. Not veteran.
This only influences the dice roll of skills.
sure makes a difference, but if you use skills right it´s not really sooo important.
focus on having a strategy and build team like your idea.
you need to be flexible in scoring.
you need a header mid forward and a allround forward wih canon AND rainbow.
for the header you also need a universal midfielder in the front ( or a wing MF) for the passes/ crosses for the header.
you need at least on man in the team with olymic corner.
with this you have covered 4 of the 5 possibilities to score.
5th is a high accuracy for a forward, but that is the most uncommon way to score.
( Most goalies are much too good for a direct goal).
and in the DEF you need to be able to defend against that.
a sweeper kills canon shot
two center DEF and a universal DEF in the middle keep the line closed, the universal in the middle needs headplay, so you defend header goals....
and so on.
just simple scissor, stone, paper.
Thanks man :) will start a new game with my team and put it into practice!
As you mostly use skills to score, it won't matter much, but those AI forwards with more Acc than your defenders have Def will be a bigger pain in the neck with Decreased.
Expected makes the RNG cheat in your favor, so it's easy mode RNG.
I'll add a few bits for the managerial part:
1) make players learn skills as soon as possible
2) decide, who you will sell in the next 1-2 transfer windows. The player should know at least one skill level by this time.
3) Put him on every match until his "Interest from other clubs" is high. Sell him for big margin.
4) But young players on the paid transfers or from your personal transfer list.
It won't, you need to approach the game from the strategic layer and worry less about the tactical layer. Once your team is strong enough within a league, it's easy until you've promoted to the next.
Expected RNG just makes upsets less likely for weak teams vs strong teams. That just makes the game harder when you play against stronger teams, as you're less likely to challenge their rolls effectively.
The game doesn't really have an "easy" mode.
Decreased RNG makes it harder for weaker teams.
Expected RNG makes it easier for the player team. The rolls are modified to give better results to the player.
So yeah, if you want an easier start with easier games, select Easy mode with Expected RNG when creating a campaign.
Thanks man ... and Medium difficulty and expected RNG? it's cool?
Easy difficulty reduces the footballers contract costs and club upgrades, meaning you won't have to sell so many valuable players just to have money to extend the contracts of all others and hire younger ones. You also start with a younger team, so you won't have to "rush sell" your older ones, and get more time to prepare a younger team.
If you think you can manage your finances from what you played so far, go Normal. It's a good challenge. If not, then learn to play in Easy mode before playing Normal.
If you are struggling with the game, I would advise you to leave "expected" RNG off.
Expected works in your favor only. The one that makes it harder is Decreased.
That is even worse than I thought...
My bad, for only making it through like two games in that mode before rolling my eyes and going back into proper mode.
