I screwed up big time

I accidentally clicked restart thinking it would take me to the begining of the chapter, but instead it set me ALL THE WAY BACK to the begining of the game. Is there any way to fix this? If not then it's one of the worst gameplay mechanics I've ever expirience. It's SO easy to do.

I haven't gotten that far into the game yet, but at the end of Chapter 1 the game asked me if I wished to save my progress. I imagine it does the same thing at the end of every chapter, so you should be able to load your game.

I checked all of the options and even finished the chapter to see if there was a load option at the end of it, but I can't find anything anywhere.

Had a similiar problem moments ago. Accidentally clicked the wrong option and tried to restart thinkin i could load a save, then found out it restarted the entire thing. Real pain.

You can't go back to those saves, you can only reach them if you're character "dies" in-game, it then gives you the option of restarting the chapter or going back to a certain checkpoint.

That's not the best mechanic to implement into a game, but it's over lookable.

it literally prompts you "do you want to start over from the begining" when you press the button...so unless you didnt read it...in a text based game...your fault

Yeah seriously. It doesn't just restart the game without asking. And the whole game is reading whatever is there to see.

You can save a checkpoint after every chapter, so if you complete the chapter in some way you regret, you can reload that checkpoint.
