Already stuck, game breaking bug?

So I'm in the tobacco shop and have looked at everything there is to look at, have solved all the puzzle boxes, etc. I try to leave the store and it says there are unanswered questions and to use our little grey cells. I do that and of the 3 questions it asks, I've correctly placed the little icons into their slots and have gotten green lights on all 3 including "Is theft the motive of the crime?" to which it has answered "Theft is not the motive." Yet in my objectives list it still shows "Is theft the motive?" as unchecked and I can't leave the shop. Seem to be stuck and it appears to be because the game has not recognized yet that I've determined theft is not the motive. Any ideas?

Happened the same to me, bugged in the grey matter thing.. the game looks amazing, but now im sad..

Are you running any sort of custom setting for your graphics card to control the game? Sometimes unity based games don't like certain graphical settings.
I am only 20 odd percent through but so far no bugs and no pointer issues.

Update: when I started a new savegame and started the story again this time I got achievements so if you're getting achievements then your game should not be bugged, I also followed a walkthrough to make sure I did the stages all right and I think it will work and I did get past the grey cells part :D

For me the cause of this problem was due to my firewall preventing the steam achievements from getting through. Once I had set the game executable to be "safe'", the game functioned properly. Mind you, I did have to replay the game from scratch though.

There's a really annyoing bug that prevents you from talking to a person if you have the Inventory on the side open.
Only if closed will the speech option be available.

Hi, I'm stuck at Scotland Yard. When I go in to talk to Cust there are no options to do anything. I've restarted several times and still no go. I even left the game alone over night cause I restarted so many times I just gave up. I'm almost done at about 82% and can't seem to go any further.

When Poirot invites the victim's families to his flat, there is a "inspect" scene. The scene is bugged because you cannot use the inspect ability on the one you choose to inspect first. At least until, you click on that person , then unfocus, then focus on them again.

Feels like a simple initialization defect. curious how this passed testing, regressions?

Anyone find fixes for these problems? I'm stuck at 51%, I get through the scene with family members at Poirot's place, then during a cut scene/loading page the music gets realy slow and the whole page turns black. Have restarted the game/computer, started an older save file, which ran for a bit, but then crashed at the same place

Abandonware. The publishing house are not taking action. I tried to contact the publisher, but no longer possible/responsive.

I ended up turning all the sound/music and closed captions off, disconnecting from my TV (which I was using as a monitor), and lowered the graphics quality significantly and was able to get it to load past that spot. I spent more time trying to fix different parts of the game than actually playing it and was only relieved when it was over

7 years later 2023, playing on Switch
I have observed EVERYTHING, even used a walkthrough, but im still missing bunch of clues... cant solve ABC and Murder On Site questions....
Crazy that I cant even get past this first area wtf... am I stuck forever?
