Saved games location

There are no manual saves in this game, so it's easy to miss certain achievements. I discovered the game holds multiple saves in
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Microids\The ABC Murders\Profils\<profile number>\
There should be multiple subfolders and each of them holds a copy of a saved game, so if you want to restore it, just copy all three files and start the game. I tested it and was able to revert my progress and get a missing achievement.

It doesn´t work. I have all the saves and when I copy one of those folders into the appdata folder there is either no profile or only the one that existed but it starts a new game.
I don´t get it.
