Are there any large titanite shards in this demo, or my maximum here is +3?

Apparently you can farm them in the Boreal Valley, which is Eleum Loyce I think?

yes, in eleum.
But you have to beat 2 bosses to get there.
the locked gate at the start leads to that area

after buying the merchant a drink for the potion mixer (10k souls) he has 4 in stock for me. they're not cheap at 1600/shard. he also sells unlimited normal sharts at 800/shard now. might be an update thing though

In the newest patch they added 4 large shards to the shopkeeper if you give him Archtree Dew and there are 2 on a corpse right outside High Lord's Temple in the desert.

sick, at least i can buy 4 shards... which one is the high lords temple again? is there a boss nearby? my bad im bad wit names

It's the bonfire on the opposite end of the desert to where you start. Right where you fight the Necromancer.

Also, the enemies in Eleum Loyce that drop the Large Shard are Farron Followers. The dudes that throw javelins and use torches to breathe fire. Putting them in there is pointless, as it requires getting through one of the hardest bosses in the demo. I literally had a single boss left in the demo when I got to them.

i did eventually find em. theres followers in BOTH the desert AND snowfield. fyi.

The Followers in Eleum Loyce afaik are the only enemies that drop Large Shards, and yeah it's bizarre they're not more accessible.

If you nab the 6 (2 fixed, and 4 sold by Ebrius) then you'll have a single +5 which is fine for taking on most bosses ig...? (assuming you know where to find them and choose your weapon wisely) but it's still a big hurdle before you can farm them.
