Still no stutter fix for DS3 on 2025?

I tried kh0nsu's stutter fix from github but it didn't work. The other methods require to change a lot of windows configurations and I honestly prefer not to break my PC just for a single game.

There really no solution for this yet?

Been a while since I played, but I remember the only thing that seemed to work was reverting back to an earlier update version of the game. I reverted back to an update version from around 2017-2018, specifically because I remember the game running flawless during that time.

I'd honestly just recommend playing it on console, if you're looking for an easy fix.

The actual cause of stuttering in this game is usually due to people playing on controller.

Something about it, creates a dual input, and it causes the game to check for both inputs on kbm and controller even if you only use one of them.

the only known fix to do anything is to manually uninstall all your HID devices in device manager and reinsert any devices/re-pair any devivers you actually use.

if your pc is too low spec you could also try using DXVK instead, choose the DX11 option.

This game must have a preference with certain hardware in mind. Had a 6800XT (stuttered), upgraded to a 4080super still stutters. Turned off e-cores/hyperthreading in bios, no difference. Maybe runs better with AMD cpus as thats what the consoles utilize?

gtx 1070 here: nvidia panel - vsync on - tripel buffering on - max power - max frames

when a completely new area is loaded i get a small but noticeable frame drop otherwise it's buttery smooth. i would like it to be smooth all the time but they will fix it maybe in 20 years xD

This is so stupid... Might have to refund the game and continue the pirated version because that one actually works.
