try to avoid getting advice from reddit or other forums because they're typically filled with people who don't know what they're talking about: you cant learn about pvp by invading at low levels
Vertebra Shackels - Catacombs of Carthus Bonfire, Run to the left, avoid the skelly ball and go to the thin hall way, Find two Carthus Gravewarden Skeletons (With swords and shields). Really low drop rate even with all drop boosting items and run is tedious, so maybe the PVP for these is the best idea.
Proof of Concord Kept - Anor Londo bonfire, and keep killing the two Silver Knights on the stairs, for some change you can also go for the red eye Silver Knight on the right on top of the stairs, bit tougher, but one more drop chance. With all item find boost gear, pretty easy grind.
Sunlight Medals - Lothric Castle Bonfire, the Lothric Knight in the room has good chance to drop Sunlight Medals. Bonfire is close, so resets are fast. Similar drop rate to Silver Knights. You also collect some Titanite Chunks.
Wolf's Blood Swordgrass - Keep Ruins bonfire. Behind you there are 3 Ghru's. Keep killing them. Solid drop rate, but I think little less than Sunlight Medals or Proof of Concord Kept, but higher than Vertebra Shackles.
Pale Tongue - Farron Keep Perimeter Bonfire. Run out, and kill the two Darkwraiths outside. Probably the fastest grind with drop rate gear.
Human Dregs - For these, there are two places. 1) From Aldrich bonfire, run out and kill the 3 deacons on the stairs. 2) Pontiff bonfire. Run to the shortcut lift, take it up, send it back down, and go take care of those... 7? Deacons on the balcony. Point is, these are more deacons here that drop the Dregs, but longer run.
Filianore's Spear Ornaments (DLC) - Just get invaded as the Boss in Halflight's boss fight. You can grind these from Ringed Knights, like the Twin Greatsword one outside of the Halflight's church (Church of Filianore bonfire) but why? This covenant gives you nothing, but the "bragging rights" of you have done it. Oh and you are more powerful in the boss fight as you get better buffs.
You read through all of that? Ok cool, like I said I am really bad at PvP but I guess I can throw in my two cents.
Learn to parry on R1 spam on 1h weapon users. Can I do it? No, but then again I don't really like the PvP aspect. Parrying heavier 2h weapons is not advisable unless you are comfortable with it.
Learn to delay attacks to roll catch and learn your weapon attack ranges, to know how you can roll catch. With Whips roll catching is easy, but their damage is little low and no parries or backstabs.
If you use heavier weapons, like Great Hammers or Ultra Greatswords, if you get hit in, you will usually stagger someone and can get another hit in, but then the stagger wears off and other player can roll away, so learning the rhythm to attack twice and then waiting to catch the roll might be something to go for.
On spell side of things, I've noticed that mixing up attacks helps to keep opponents on their toes. Better on those mass fight clubs or team PvP fights, but 1V1 really difficult. What I am saying is switch spells to throw off the opponents expectations. Few slower spells to then throw faster spell suddenly forces opponents to change the rhythm, which may give openings. Also Pure spells in my experience do not work that well on fair fights. Invasions yes, but not in fight clubs.
This "advice" is from a person who has played over 1000h of combined Soulsborne content, avoiding PvP so your mileage may vary.

Eh, I'd disagree. You can learn from low level invading, but I wouldn't recommend doing it via red eyes. As that way you are likely to get people just playing the game and probbably going to just avoid pvp altogether. Also, things like spacing and such, which are key to PvP, don't change from player level, so they can be learned at any level. The only thing that changes from levels, is the amount of stats you have to play around with.
If you are going to learn at lower levels, to avoid the more try-hards at meta pvp levels and ganks, I'd say just hang out in the areas for Watchdogs of Farron, or invade as one, at the level and upgrade strength you get by just playing normally by the time you reach there. Sure, you might get some of the more tryhards on occasion there, but my experiances have been primarily with those still on the newer side of PvP. Can do the same in Pontiff's area, but those tend to be more gank filled for an invader, and the ones that invade you in Pontifs are even more of a mixed bag.
This isn't bad advice really, only thing have to say in addition is don't try and parry 2 handed ultra greatswords and great hammers. As their normal attacks when 2h'ed are unparry-able. Some of the weapon arts tied to them can be parried, but for someone newer to pvp, its just not worth the risk.
I'm not that great at pvp either, but I do manage to hold my own most times when I do get invaded. I don't really invade in DS3 much as I never really got into it as much as I did with DS2. Though if I was to start getting into pvp more heavily for DS3, it would be in the Watchdogs of Farron covenant, or by using either the arena or leaving red soapstone summon signs in the semi-circle area at the start of Pontiff's area.
they dont but low level pvp doesnt encourage you to engage with pvp mechanics. its a pool of lowskill players who crutch on parries and trades. if you see what ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do offmeta "pvp" players say about basics and weapons (like halberds being better than css because of range) it becomes evident that low level players dont have a clue about how pvp works

If anything is gonna make you improve a lot in pvp, it is trying to actually roll attacks properly rather than mash the roll button on panic, most of the weapons/spells in the game are so slow that it is possible to roll them 100% of the time.
Another important thing is just learning that some weapons can actually punish whiffs on reaction against other slower weapons which is pretty much the optimal way to play against almost everything. Punishes can go from a straight sword punishing a greathammer whiff on reaction to have even something as slow as a greatsword be able to punish on reaction all ultras.
dumbed down that would be:
spacing: learn your opponents actions range and how to work around that range
timing: learn your opponents (and yours) actions and how long does the recovery from that action take so you can manage your time

if you don't wanna get into pvp and just want your covenant items then use a cheesy build, install wex dust mod so you can invade globally and oneshot unsuspecting hosts
