PvP wise it is pretty much just a build focused on Pontiff Knight Curved Sword or Murky Hand Scythe, you may add xbow on the setup too but that's factually the best pvp build, especially 1v1s.
There isn't too much too discuss, the game is pretty simple PvE and PvP wise.
The Parting Flame found in the DLC adds an extra hitbox to certain spells, mostly applicable to Great Combustion and Black Flame due to the short range, that can add another 20% or so damage to those two spells. This double-tap is also really effective at breaking the guard of enemies with shields.
Add to this that Great Combustion and Black Flame both cast quite fast and have pretty good damage and you get a pretty potent combo. You can supplement this with other pyromancies for ranged attacks or buffs. Warmth is also the most efficient healing spell, though it's a pain to get.
Put the Parting Flame on your left hand and a Dark or Chaos weapon in your right and you're golden. The Onyx Blade (which you will acquire along the way to getting the Parting Flame) is also a decent pyro weapon. If you don't plan on using your weapon much, the Executioner's Greatsword will stretch out your FP, and it can be buffed with Carthus Flame Arc, but it does require investing in STR to use effectively, the one stat you don't really need on this build.
