Why lol, invasions in Dark Souls are mostly chill, the cooldown is 20 minutes, and twinks builds aren't as common or OP compared to Elden Ring
Everything here is wrong. Twinks are so common to the point of almost every invasion is modded twink, and they are OP to the point of virtually unbeatable, and the cooldown is not that long if you coop.

But of course, this seamless stuff is not legit play.
so true lol, got invaded while playing with my hubby and all of them had the black hand with a great sword or ugs, chug on 20 estus to then run away and hide for the rest of the invasion... (first time my hubby plays this game so it kinda really ♥♥♥♥ up the first experience)
now the ones that do honorable 1v1... those i admire

Well, those using big weapons or the hand are just kidding. Much nastier stuff can be done with modded/twink build. But yeah, the healing pool and infinite HP/FP tricks that can be done makes impossible to deal with them for proper low level builds.

big tip when dealing with twink gankers (or cheaters) is to block them on steam, they can't join your 'server' if you block their connection.

Dude get a life and stop trying to bait people into arguments, also you can family share all you want, keep making accounts and keep getting blocked.

Don't like it? Grow a pair.

The entitlement to someone else's time is real. You'll still have people to invade so all your hand wringing and pearl clutching is quite unnecessary.

Doesn't actually stop you from being invaded. The game uses Steamworks to connect, so if you know a person's Steam ID you can join them. All disabling them does is remove you from the random invasion pool

Maybe find out how the mod works first?
In Elden Ring's Seamless mod, invasions were non-existent for almost 2 years.
I remember a lightsaber clad person saying he was going to invade Seamless users. He never figured out how to.
With an update, invasions were added but were enabled by default.
Disabling Invasions was as simple as changing the setting in the .ini from 1 to 0.

Re-read what I said. All that setting does is remove you from the random invasions matchmaking. Provided your world is still listening for connections (aka you used the item that allows your friends to join you via password), you are open to anyone joining you using your Steam ID and the functions provided by the Steam Networking API

You expounded on what you previously said; you can't possibly think the 2 quoted comments above automatically meant what you last wrote and in any case, you'd still be incorrect.
Once invasions are turned off in the .ini you still can't invade no matter if you know the users Steam ID and matchmaking password. It just won't work. Good luck trying though, but you can ask Darth Invader how that turned out in order to save yourself some time.

You're missing the point. You absolutely can, and people (including myself) have. There's videos of the CIN group doing it if you need easy proof
That being said, if it's built in any sane way you won't be able to join as an invader because the host won't accept a connection with that role. You can 100% still force join someone as a regular phantom though. Again, I've done this myself and there are streams of people doing it (though, they did it to harass streamers. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do to be fair). You can also still affect other players even if you can't damage them, e.g. deathblighting them (again, like CIN did to grief)
I have no idea whether or not you can join as a literal invader because I didn't try, but I hope not because it'd be indicative of a poorly-programmed system

Please stop talking about things you don't understand. For as much as I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and troll, I'm being 100% truthful here
