Community Patch Needed

This game desperately needs a fix for these frame rate drops. Everyone here experiences it, FPS dips from 60-52 on random occasions (especially during combat). Maybe a mod or community patch that would finally resolve this ongoing problem since Bandai won't update this game anymore. All I know is that the FPS hitch comes from the CPU being poorly optimized, according to what other people have said in the past.

speaking of this issue, has anyone else noticed that the framerate is worst in lothric castle? im especially asking other invaders here who have lots of experience playing all over the game over and over again.

at this point, i get more stuttering in lothric castle than i do in elden ring, which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane

i get random fps drops during figths, its anoying as hell. We will sure get patch for it in coming years XDD

Literally search up "frame rate" on here and you'll have about 8 weeks worth of reading material on ppl complaining about the FPS drops and 95% of them are playing on strong PC hardware. You get them too, you probably don't notice the drops right away

lothric castle is f u c k ing Horrendous not sure what the ♥♥♥♥ did they do to make the performance this bad

Same here, hope they fix it because its definitely a problem with the game itself.

It got worse since the servers came back. They will never fix it they do not care. Downgrade your version its the only way you will loss out on online

There's still some harsh FPS dips on 1.15.0 but its not as bad as the current version so that might be the only "fix" for now.

Black Ops 3 had a similar problem to DS3 where after a random steam update in 2022, BO3 had very unstable frame rates. Worse than DS3 right now. So one modder in the community made a patch that fixed the frame rate problem entirely while keeping online functionality. You just had to run the patch while running BO3. I think something similar to this is possible for DS3, but we need someone knowledgeable in this kind of stuff to turn it into a reality.

To be fair tho, DS3's frame rate issue is more complex and internally rooted than BO3's. So I'm not 100% convinced that it's entirely possible.

i knew few people who delved into DS3 Modding i'll ask em.

@lukas i could've swore that i remember DSR Has PVP Overhaul mod that were simply so good similar to what you said about BO3. maybe i'll ask that guy if it's possible to create exact same mod but with some fps patch and ofc pvp overhaul.

i've talked to a pc specialist or i say pc repairmen, he theorized that ghosts, bloodstains and messages could've been the culprit of the fps drops that we've been having, this theory is even made even strong because back in mid 2022 i used to go play in this Open Server mod duirng the days that DARK SOULS Servers is down and i remember correctly they purposefully disabling ghosts and bloodstains and only left messages turned on and game was smooth no fps drops.
