Why is the sale price still $42
This game is 8 years old now.
This game really should be going on sale with both it's DLC included at $15 for the full package at this point.

ds3 isn't worth $60 years later, don't listen to the consoomers. you can get it for lower, check fanatical. it's on sale for 23 dollars without dlc, about 27 with.

Every time I see a thread like this for any game I want to ask questions.

Where did you get your numbers?
Do you even have a graph like "price point vs sales projection" to justify your claim?
Do you really think you know better than people who set those prices? People who's job is to make such projections and set prices accordingly.

Agreed. For 5 years from Dec 2017 to Dec 2022, DS3 was frequently on sale for 75-83% off. During this period, every sale was minimum 75% off.

Since then, there as been no sale like that in 2023 or this year. The lowest it's been on sale is 50%, RARELY.

I was thinking of buying it, but no thanks, not worth it for such an old title. Too many other newer games to play. From Soft needs to bundle all the remasters DeS, DS1-3 in a package with a heavy discount.

why excatly? cus you shouldnt support shameless and greddy beahviour, old games should be sold at huge discounted prices but cus of ppl like you they can do this and sell almost 10 year old games same as prices of triple A games

Markleting 101 says you need to pick optimal price point to maximize profits.

it does go on sale for close to that price sometimes. often for the bigger steam sales, like the winter sale. you can see the games price history on steamdb, its been $25 or $20 a bunch of times and $15 a few times.

LMAO Im not gatekeeping it from anyone. Im just having fun here checking if you actually have any idea how publishers set prices.
Or do you really think someone from Bandai Namco (they are in charge of settings prices, not FromSoft btw) reads this forum and makes decision based on what people write here?

People like me? As an owner Im already out of equation. Im not going to buy it at any price. Its about people who dont own it and how many copies Bandai Namco can sell to them at different prices. This is shameless but thats also business. And business needs to make money. They arent a charity fund. And who says Im supporting this? Its just nature. If I say that earthquakes destroy houses regardess of what you want does it mean Im supporting earthquakes?

blud compared natural disaster which CANNOT be controled by anyone to a greedy company who can change their prices at any minute
most sane bandai meat rider
your first comment translates to ,,they set prices they know the best, they cant be wrong, dont touch my beloveds,, , if they told you to jump of the bridge would you listen to them?
edit: also just to add, to remind you that deluxe bundle is not even cheaper than buying everything seperatly which is the sole point of a all in one bundle, marketing geniuses

this comment is outdated, check the stats, your comment would be correct if it was like 2019 again since for a year no dark souls went on a sale not even for a big sales like winter one and now even when it does rarely its for a price of a new game

Im not suporting or defending anything. Direct your pointless anger elsewhere.
My comment translates to "People who are paid to do their jobs usually know their field better than a random poster on the internet". Your screams and foot stomps arent gonna change that.

They're probably finding increased demand post Elden Ring. It's the price because lots of people are willing to pay it.
