How's the multiplayer in 2024?

I'm considering buying, just wanted to gauge how active PVP and PVE summons are.

There is a lot of people that still playing, you will have pve and more pvp if you are in the right level on each map

It happens serveral times each session. But it can be quite delayed, at least for me.

It even connects much faster than Elden Ring in all SL brackets. You can invade freely everywhere. This game refuses to die.

very much alive at least until that elden ring dlc. just make sure to use the blue sentinel mod to be able to tell who's a regular player, who's a lame cheater, and who's a ♥♥♥♥♥ hacker.

a bunch of sweats with fifty hotswap meta weapons and infinite electric resin spamming r1 and pointing downward at you playing a cosplay loadout is what this is game is all about.

edit: Forgot to add they would then throw dung pies at your corpse and instantly leave so you don't get to change loadouts and invade them.

This, but also gank squads and twinks. Arena is the same 3-4 people during the day. 2-5 minute waiting to find world to invade. Every forth/fifth world is a gank squad. Chinese cheaters. Latency.

Play DS2 PvP instead, unironically

PvE multiplayer:
ER > DS2 > DS1 > DS3

PvP multiplayer:
DS2 > DS1 > DS3 > ER

Still pretty active. I’m currently at level 34 and still getting summoned for Vordt, the tree boss and Crystal sage. A lot of invasions as well. Just wish From gave us more summoning tools. Like the effigy stick used in Elden Ring. Would like to be summoned to far off distances in the game then just be limited to wherever I place my summon sign down.
