estus ring didnt get added to inventory?

i picked up the estus (NOT ASHEN ESTUS) ring from the 20k tower, but it was never added to my rings. ive checked storage and it isnt there either. anyone know how to fix this? adding it via [TOTALLY LEGITIMATE MEANS] after i found out i didnt have it didnt work because the game crashed every time i added it.
