What's the current anti-cheat being used?
Blue Sentinel or something else?

It is what I use when playing this game. It doesn't catch all cheaters. For instance I had an invader go invisible and cause the enemies and me to just bounce up and down over and over again, locking me in a bounce loop.

There are some other cheats that blue sentinel does not pick up like some people who take no damage at all. However, it does show some types of cheaters. But it seems if someone is determined to cheat, some can bypass the blue sentinel mod.

edit: using your best judgement is sometimes advised if you think someone is cheating. Best thing to do is to just block the cheaters so you do not have to run into them again.

No, I didn't meet cheaters yet, when I do, I'll block them for sure, just wanted to have BS as a tool.
blue sentinel is the most recent, but IME most players no longer use anticheat software outside of pvp'ers who get salty about estus cancel and want to cheat kick players for using it.

the major cheats that can effect your save file or pc are fixed, curse dagger is fixed, and most of the other common cheats that just do stuff like instakill you are not prevented by BS.

these days its pretty much just used as a cheat tool by players who hate glitches to kick other players from their sessions and avoid the great shame of losing in dark souls.

I'm more PvE guy, it doesn't matter, as long as they don't corrupt my save or get med banned.

You can't do this anymore anyways. When from brought this game back online they fixed a whole wack of other issues and potential cheats.
The creator of blue sentinel really messed up with the last update to it.
It's now more of a tool to allow hosts to cheat but to kick anyone else they don't like arbitrarily. I swear the guy is on a crusade to ruin all of From's games on pc
I see now, thanks for the clarification mate.

No anti cheat is needed. I used BS for some time. It's kind of cheaty, since you can pinpoint information otherwise hidden, like how many people you are connecting with. But it in fact introduce some bugs like additional framedrops (your experience may vary). If you don't stream for a large audience, which for sure will attract idiots, chances that you encounter cheaters is near zero.

No I don't stream, mostly PvE, and It's running fine, actually the thing I like about BS that it shows ping of the connected players.
