Micro freezes are back...
Hi there,
I remember at release, there were micro freezes when looting or autosaving, then with patches it was fixed.
I wanted to play a bit of DS3, so I reinstalled it, but thses micro freezes are back, it's super annoying, even more when you're know it was fixed....
What the hell fromsoft??
How is it possible to make the game worse than 3 years ago?
If someone has a fix, I'll take it gladly!
Thx

Don't listen to the tard above me, they're real and those small freezes/stutters can't be fixed without tweaking the engine of the game

No they probably won't tbh. Best chances are that someday a modder fixes it and releases a patch

I never have stutters or freezes, EXCEPT in one case:
- if a device connects/disconnects during gameplay (my bluetooth mouse/keyboard for instance) - this is a particular issue in Elden Ring as well and prob their other games as well, engine related due to the nature of its hardware polling. Disabling "microsoft device association root enumerator" in Device Manager can apparently solve it, but also cause compatibility issues with some old peripherals.

Anyhow, aside from that, my FPS/Frametime charts solid 60/16. Looting and autosave are fine with no stutters.

Its traversal stutter from the game's ♥♥♥♥ port. and yes my game along with 98% of everyone's DS3 on pc runs at a steady 60/16. However, the game will hitch/freeze/stutter at complete random for a brief second and then return to normal. Almost every person I polled has this problem

Just started anew ds3 run after years and I have been seeing occasional freeze/stuttering too, completely smooth other than when that happening suddenly. Not common but sometimes happens at weird times.

Considering this is the first time I ever heard of it, sounds like you have some biased polls.

type "stutter" on the topic search and you'll have 3 weeks worth of reading material

Can confirm, have always had this problem. Decided to check the hub to see if anything has changed. Guess not.

it's driving me mad... I('ve tried so many things... nothing worked, these 0.5 sec microfreezes are always there....
It's like the geme pauses for half a sec, then catch up as when it come back everything is speed up...
Then it become normal again...
Awful.....
