dex or strength

I'm playing my second souls and in the first one I played with a dex build, this one I haven't found weapons yet that I find very useful for a dex build but I'm curious to play as guts too, which one do rather?

DEX for speed, strength for power, although there are exceptions for both.
Generally I find DEX weapons to be more engaging and thus more fun to play, but there are some fascinating strength weapons too. For example two handed mace poise meta, or Glaive with Heavy Infusion.
Also Claymore. Can never go wrong with Claymore.

Currently I'm a little ahead after defeating Vordt, I use the claymore and an axe with dark depending on the situation
