That sucks, I wanted to do pure ranged. You can't even infuse bows in this game. Doing a bow and magic playthrough of this game has soured my opinion of it. Too many gimmick bosses, uninspired world design, forces you to play melee. This is easily the worst Soulsbornekiro game, the amazing DLC doesn't even save it because the main game is a slog to play through. Here's my tier list:
S: Sekiro, DS1
A: Bloodborne, Demon's Souls
B: DS2
C: DS3
That's funny because he gave me the most trouble playing melee. What trash game design. Railroads you into playing one way and then ♥♥♥♥♥ you in the late game for playing that way. It's clear Myazaki doesn't want to do sequels because this is an uninspired slog to play though. Lothric, swamps, cathedral, irithyll. It's all an annoying and boring. Literally the only reason to play DS3 is the DLC which is actually great.
Easily the worst DS game and I'd like to hear someone defend the design of any of these levels.
I don't care if you didn't ask for the criticism, go back to your safe space for all I care. Someone tell me what you actually enjoy about playing this game please.
DS1 lets you beat every boss besides Seath with sorcery. Demon Souls magic is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ OP and can literally beat every boss in one hit (that's too OP, I aint' defending that). DS2 magic is a viable way to beat every single boss in the game besides Fume Knight which is DLC.
DS3 is the only game where multiple bosses in the early game will let you know magic is not viable. I started a DS3 playthrough using only sorceries and the game became ten times harder. Like I said, at least Sekiro had the balls to tell you that you can't play this way by taking the option away entirely. In DS3 I started with pure sorceries and found out I ruined my entire playthrough.
And don't worry, I won't be playing this trash game again. DS1 and DS2 are infinitely better than this pile of trash.
Well they did a terrible job of balancing Demon's Souls then because every single boss can be beat in one hit with Firestorm lmao.
Go on then, try dodge Pontiff's attacks and beat him with ranged attacks that have extremely slow startup animations. Show me scrub. Record your gameplay.
No hit runners can probably do it but they literally dedicate their life to beating the game.
Don't level stamina at all and record yourself beating pontiff if you're so confident.
The cheese is parrying. I can do that, it's not difficult. Go on and try cheese him with sorceries or ranged if it's so easy. Record the gameplay please.
Proof?
