This game is a joke compared to Elden Ring
I have never played a Fromsoft game before but when I saw Elden Ring on sale during christmas I picked it up and boy what an amazing game it is. It was very challenging as I didn't use any summons or anything and it took me just shy of 100 hours to beat.

Then I had an itch for more souls like combat so I decided to pick up Dark Souls 3... What a disappointment. I've literally completed the game in 30 hours... What the ♥♥♥♥ kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this? It took me longer to beat Hollow Knight ffs and that's a $15 game. I paid nearly $40 for this ♥♥♥♥.

Yes the game is good but ♥♥♥♥ me the game was way way too easy. Every boss defeated in 2 - 4 tries. Twin Princes defeated in 2 attempts. The ruthless notorious Nameless King, defeated in 3 attempts... Lord of Cinder defeated in 2 attempts.

I don't want to come across like a jerk but if you think Dark Souls 3 is hard, you're going to be in for a major shock if you play Elden Ring. I would rate the game an 8 out of 10, it's a solid, fun game to play and I had a lot of fun playing it but where the hell did Dark Souls get it's notoriety for being a brutally difficult game come from? Who exactly out there genuinely thinks this game is hard? Based on all the reviews and from word of mouth I was expecting to be punished over and over, relentlessly slaughtered by bosses until I finally defeat it on my 10+ try... but no. I slapped every boss in a couple tries.

Bosses health pools need to be increased 3 fold.
Bosses damage needs to be increased 2 fold.
Bosses need more phase 2's and phase 2's need to be twice as hard as phase 1's.

I am genuinely angry with Dark Souls 3 because my expectation of how hard it would be was massively over inflated based on what previous / existing Dark Souls players said about it.

Oh and by the way I finished the game at level 88 so I don't even think I was over levelled. The thing is I'm not even a good player... I constantly panic roll, I always get smacked when trying to panic heal, I have bad stamina management and overall I'm just an average run of the mill player...

Rant over

Dark Souls 3
Game = 8/10
Difficulty = 5/10

Elden Ring
Game 9/10
Difficulty 8/10

They had to keep making the games harder as people got good at them. If you played elden ring without summons then this was just inevitable.

Most of the difficulty that is often associated with Souls games comes from the learning curve of the game's combat. That is why it is often said that your first souls game is the hardest. Even if you don't consider yourself a "gud" player, you should still have an understanding of the fundamentals that you learned in Elden Ring.

I would recommend sticking around for the PvP though. Sl88 is a good level for invading in archives and DLC areas, and you should find Ds3 invasions to be a much bigger improvement than how Elden Ring unfortunately handled them.

I finished and got all the Elden Ring trophies in 40 hours, I was disappointed because the game is extremely easy and boring, it is one of the worst souls according to your argument in which difficulty defines the score :praisesun:

Congrats on beating the game. There is NG+ and the DLC bosses on NG+ all the way up to +7 if you want.

Play Sekiro. The hardest and best fromsoft game.

I just looked at your games list and you don't have Elden Ring so you've never even played it... Why are you lying for you little rat?

check their games list again, but this time look at their perfect games

The Elden Ring game on his perfect games list doesn't display any time played have you noticed? All the other games display how many hours he has played.

This is because he has used an achievement hack to get auto achieve the game. He has literally never played 1 minute of the game on steam because he doesn't own it... Are you dumb?

No need to be rude. I don't believe SAM allows you to unlock achievements for games you don't own. I think he was just using family share to play Elden Ring. That's precisely what I did with the original Dark Souls 1.

Anyway, Dark Souls was never truly a hardcore, impossibly difficult game. That perception was largely a meme pushed by the community. But in case you want more challenge, you can try facing the DLC bosses. And if Midir isn't enough for you then I'll gladly be your Spear of the Church. Just let me know when you're playing, and I'll try to join in as a boss.

Elden Ring Is quite good. But calling DS3, a joke... you are baiting steam points buddy.

In ER you kill the same boss several times. Margit 3 times. The lord of Blood, 2 times. Even the lord Godrick 2 times. The bird "secret" boss, 4 times.

A huge free world with a lot of the same enemies and bosses. Idk what you call difficult, but Malenia healing by dealing ZERO damage to your shield is BS. Double bosses? DS1 have that too, and they did it better by making the fight like a dance and not like a avoid spam.

DS2 OUTCLASS ER in some aspects too, so chill. And enjoy the games.
Ah yes, elden recycling. Such mediocrity compared to Bloodborne and Sekiro.
