Convergence bosses are just really bad
Started my first run with the convergence overhaul mod a few days ago and I gotta say I think it does a lot of good. The revamped level design and enemy placement is nice, the new spells are fun to use, the covenant system is interesting, and I like a lot of the new gear added

But the bosses lowkey really suck. My first hint that something was amiss was the druid guy that replaces the curserotted greatwood and his seemingly endless stamina and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ green magic that covers my screen but I tried to not let it get to me, assuming it was a fluke. Then I made it to aldrich and found they for some reason removed his casting completely and made him a bog standard and ridiculously easy to dodge melee boss and thought whatever, base game aldrich wasn't that fun anyway. I of course also noticed the bloated health bars of the abyss watchers and deacons of the deep but didn't mind too much because other than that they were still largely the same boss.

No, what really is causing me some concern now was Yhorm. When I saw they moved the storm ruler out of his boss room I thought it was a nice "gotcha" moment to force you to explore all of the profane capital to find it...but when I came back with the storm ruler it turns out it's actually completely useless against him and opted to just fight him normally. The thing is they didn't do anything to change Yhorm, it's still just a massive grind of a healthbar with a pitifully dull moveset to avoid (besides him summoning some meteors, for some reason). Unless there's some secret to the storm ruler the mod made that I missed I really don't understand this change to Yhorm and it's making me worried about going forward with boss fights.

Do the boss fights get any better? So far the only stand out has been the changed wolnir but tbf it's not that hard to beat base game wolnir

There was a mod on nexus balancing new bosses and fixing other issues, but it hasn't been updated in a while and works with older version of convergence:
