Why doesn't DS3 get more discounted than 50% off? (edit: ANYMORE?)

Just noticed the ""sale"" banner and clicked it out of curiosity. My jaw dropped when I saw this game and DSII each being sold for 3 times what I paid a few years ago. Shame on you Bandai.
