DS3 on the other hand is quite linear and exploring side areas still gives useful resources, bosses are nice and the game (in my opinion) gets better in terms of quality as it goes on, Elden Ring is (again, in my opinion) fantastic up to Morgott, after that the game turns into vigor check and re-used enemies
overall I would say that while Elden Ring is superior on its first playthrough, due to its open world and all that comes with it, Dark Souls 3 is better in terms of replayability and overall level of quality (personally whenever im replaying elden ring Im not looking forward to post-Morgott bosses, i dont like them, at the same time I do like the late game DS3 bosses, hell, i like almost all the bosses in DS3, same for areas honestly)
