Can't use sharp gem?
I've got a katana and I don't see the option to infuse it with a sharp gem for my katana or any other weapons.

You need coals to unlock new infusions.

i believe you need to give the blacksmith a better coal to let him do more infusions

Keep talking to the blacksmith, he tells you that his "Basic Coal" isn't good enough to infuse rare materials. If you bring him better coal, he will unlock new upgrades

Talk to blacksmith, you will see option "give a coal".
