Keyboard issue

Whenever I hold down a direction key for like 5 or more second the character keeps running in that direction, regardless of what I press. Then when I tap the direction the character is going is all fine again. Why does this happen? Never had this problem in Dark souls 2!

Edit: This also happened in the menu too, While creating my character, holding down the arrow keys for too long it gets stuck doing it for like 10 seconds or something.

Having the same damn issue here. I'm using wireless keyboard and mouse though. Do you guys are having the same problems with wireless devices or also with wired keyboard?

I don't think wireless or wired makes a difference. I been having the same issue, after switching through 6 keyboards 3 of them brand new.

i have the same prob , it just starts at random occasions i have usb keyboard mouse , got to love it when just about to have a battle and you start running in circles , how do these turkeys bring out games bugged to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Looks like, connecting keyboard to USB 3.0 port instead of USB 2.0 port, can help a bit (glitch occurring rate decreased about three times).

got the same problem with sticky keys, got sticky keys disabled, but ds3 made me run off a cliff several times and into enemies.

This bug is KILLING this game for me. It's happening to me AT LEAST every 3 minutes, and lasts up to 10 seconds.

I doubt it would be hard for the developers to fix. If you give From Software a while, they will likely fix it, if they're aware of it. Unfortunately, that means realying on them or the community getting around to fixing it.

I am gonna be going overseas for vacation for 3 weeks, hopefully by the time I get back things will turn out to be better!!

I'm having the same issue.. Very frustrating to say the least.. I even thought it was my keyboard at first and I bought another one then to find out the same problem exists with it.. I don't know what triggers it and I don't even know how to make it stop though it seems to stop after I madly start mashing every key I can think of.

It mainly happens to me with the "W" key and once it starts happening pressing "W" again makes my guy stop moving, then pressing nothing makes my guy run whatever opposite where my camera is facing. Horrible when it happens in a boss fight.

I think it's fixed now with the most recent patch, have not experienced any issues since the patch release.
