I killed Yoel of Londor. What do I do?

I found Yoel of Londor, and they requested for me to "give them death." So I thought I had to kill the NPC to trigger an event or something. I didn't realize I could talk to them and they would become an important NPC at the shrine. Is there any way to resurrect them or am I screwed? Really lame if it's the latter. I don't have a great deal of experience with the Dark Souls series.

Yoel im not sure if you can revive, but yoel is only relevant for selling some sorceries and getting a certain npc to appear if thats what you want

You can do things differently when you New Game+.

You need him to get one of the endings,
just try again on NG+

If you kill an NPC in a Dark Souls game, it's most likely that they're gone for good. Fire Keeper/Andre/Handmaiden are the only 3 in this game that'll come back after a death, and Andre/Handmaiden get annoyed with you for doing so.

Don't be so quick on the stab button.

Yoel is not an "important NPC". You will just miss out on another NPC but they are only necessary to get a certain ending that isnt the 'default' one so its best done on NG+/NG++ anyway.

Keep playing; just never attack Andre the Smith, that will TRULY screw you up.
Yoel is just there for 1 alternate ending, which as a seemingly new player you wouldn't be happy with.
