(SOLVED)how the ♥♥♥♥ do you get the elevator to go up?

im at the part with that onion guy and the firey demon i ended up dieing so had to run back and take the elevator again. my only problem is this ♥♥♥♥♥ wont go up anymore it keeps taking me down how do i make it go up?

It's a very simple trick really.
I won't spoil it too bad, but ill say you dont need to leave the room.

... he already said it.. step on it and step off it... when you entered the room you saw a part going up.. which means if it goes down another part goes up

ffs run past the elevator and make sure you step on the preasure pad and wait. the other platform with lower and that 1 will get you up

there are 2 platforms on the same lift. roll across it to make the lift go up or down. Get on the top platform to go up or the bottom platfom to go down (from the level where you first meet the onion)

ok i figured it out now

Step on the pressure pad and get off the elevator. Watch as it goes down while you view from where you entered. Once you see the elevator is down, you'll understand.

yh when i made this i was really frustrated lol, i spent 2 hours running backwards and forwards from bonfire to the tower only to die countless times to gravity and other cheap deaths.
