There was some other info that lead me to it.
I haven't played the Dark Souls series yet, should I start with Dark Souls 1.. maybe just watch it on youtube and buy Dark Souls 3 for later to play?
Or just start with Dark Souls 3?
Btw.. Dark Souls 3 seems a little different than the other 2 Dark Souls, when I view them on youtube, and the Dark Souls 3 trailers/gameplay.
It would seem that Dark Souls 3 takes a lot of the Bloodborne engine, the way the enemies act.
Though in some differences, it would seem as usual, the console wins in some animations on enemies or player costumes, the animation of hair and stuff seems to be over used in Bloodborne on the PS4, where as Dark Souls 3 doesn't seem to have monsters at quite that level.. I've seen some monsters with lots of animations, but not quite as often or as many as those on Bloodborne, do they feel that no one is going to have a good PC with hardware specs or a nice GPU? I'm not sure why but I actually look forward to those fluid animations if they are at the level of impressive as Bloodborne is with what it has for graphical animations on everything in the game..
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not all about graphics, there's "possibly" just as good of animations, or depth to the characters/monsters in Dark Souls 3 as there would be in Bloodborne, but it would seem they just wash down the engine on PC versions of games, I get so tired of that, when a computer can be well beyond the hardware specs of a PS4, and the better games end up on the consoles..
I know they did it to avoid piracy and stuff before and still kinda do with different game companies and games... but I don't hack and prefer the PC gaming for what I enjoy.
I used to enjoy console gaming in my teen years, I don't anymore and that's been almost 2 decades ago, though.. I would play on them if I had to, and for some casual moments or times, or if a game only came on the console such as Bloodborne, but other than that.. I prefer the PC gaming.
And so I say as mentioned, any advice on if I should play through Dark Souls 1.. first and if it's worth it?
It looks a little different from Dark souls 1 and 2, though.. it seems to have copied many elements from the Bloodborne side of the engine, instead of using their own style for Dark Souls 3, with maybe some changes.
I do like what Bloodborne for what I have seen in videos on youtube, never played it since I don't own a PS4.. so wish it would come to PC.. I need a game like that.
I will probably end up playing Dark Souls 3, because it would fit those needs.. though maybe not all of them that Bloodborne offers, but I want a game like Bloodborne with story, gameplay, sound, and graphics. All of these features are awesome.
I would like to see a side by side video comparison for Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3, with story, gameplay and graphics, so that I can decide on an in-depth analysis, call it optimistic or over analyzing... but it could be my autism that really wants to know, no it's not aspergers..
I like attention to detail/quality, not just in graphics, in everything for a game.
Would Dark Souls 2 be worth it after Dark Souls 1?
I have heard that it wasn't as good, though I don't know for sure.
I haven't had a good Castlevania 2D style like Symphony of the Night in forever..
And so I wish Bloodborne would come to PC.. =)
I do program my own Castlevania 2D style a.i., have about 30 or more a.i. monsters made for a project.
And Alien 3 Sega Genesis a.i. and have all the Alien 3 a.i. made within a week to a month, depending on which a.i. I was working on.
But that's all just fan content, free to play, non-profit stuff as projects to learn and experience.
I noticed that about the better version of Dark Souls 2, though.. I didn't see Dark Souls 2 when searching the store page on Steam, for the original version..
Not that I would need the original version, and so it would come to buying the better version at some point.
Do you recommend only buying Dark Souls 1 and 2 on sale?
Also that one game.. Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide, is on sale for the same price as Dark Souls 1 at $20 dollars. Which is better to get right now?
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide has a little bit of Bloodborne style to it, or closest to it without getting a console such as the Playstation 4.. and Dark Souls, with game style, but in first person with rats as enemies, and seems a little arena based with all the rats coming at you.. from what the videos show on the store page. Seems like a combination of co - op adventuring, at the same time as Left for Dead with a tank and some other special infected...
http://store.steampowered.com/app/235540/
I think they should make another Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide with the Bloodborne/Dark Souls 3 engine.
That way they get everything the new Dark Souls engine has, in gameplay, story, sound, and graphics.
I do feel Left for Dead was a bit uncreative, the imagination is very short, same with story and gameplay options..
As it wasn't taken very serious anyways with the running zombies and special infected.
But the limited options of gameplay was just dull, boring, and repetitive as well.
It became a real problem when Evolve came out.
Evolve uses the Cry Engine 3.. is it just me.. or do games with that engine, seem to have a lot of bugs? Such as Evolve when it first came out, and that massive multiplayer space simulator game.
I don't know, the trailer videos show a full team of maybe 4 or 5.
And so Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is only 3 player co - op together?
That's just sad.
Ok.. I've made a decision.. will go with Dark Souls 1, for now.
I do like a long game, but I don't want to take forever to get to Dark Souls 3, I feel left out of not only the fun together, but more of the Bloodborne style.
Oh well, I will enjoy Dark Souls 1 and 2, then go with Dark Souls 3.
Or do you feel I should just watch a play through on youtube of Dark Souls 1 and 2 to catch up, then go with getting Dark Souls 3 on Steam after?
It would save money to get Dark Souls 3 sooner..
But the wiser choice would be to tell me if the gameplay is better than watching videos on youtube for Dark Souls 1 and 2.
That choice is only best chosen when someone with experience knows one or the other.
Otherwise I will have made a wrong decision, not everyone has money to throw away.
Though I upgraded My PC over time, my games list isn't huge because of it.
But now it can be, and I can play anything at maxed settings with high frame rates of 144 - 450 depending on the game.
There are good reasons for things.
