jump button?

So, it seems DS3 went the same direction as DS2 when it comes to jumping. It is by default bound to LS1 (pushing down the left stick). I find this a very unreliable and annoying method of jumping. I prefer DS1's jumping (hold B to run and then press B again to jump).

In DS2, this was added an individual option. However, DS3 does not seem to have that, unless i've been overlooking it this whole time. How can you remap the jumping key to be identical to the previous games?

Change the left stick jump into B

I like putting the dodge/evade on the A button. If I could I would make X and Y for attacks and keep right trigger for lock on (not toggle). Left trigger will still be for blocking and other off hand functions... dual weilding wtih non set weapons will probably be wierd as all hell...

i will give that a go, cheers. As for putting jump to A, while intuitive for most other games, I am so accustomed to having it to hold and press B in the souls series, it would be weird to map it to anything else.

Anyone else having issues with your character doing a roll immediately after jumping when having the jump mapped to B button on the xbox one controller? Quite annoying, any way to fix?

It'll work the same way as DS1 if you bind the jump key to the same key as the dodge roll

Odd, my roll/run/jump were assigned to B on default.

Jump should just be pressing run button again while running.
