Tips for Yhorm? the giant?

The guide says to get the Storm Rider and use weapon arts for significant dmg..but even doing that it only does 40 dmg per hit..I have no clue how to do this boss..

If you do all the whole sidequest chain for onionbro he joins you in the fight and he staggers Yhorm every 10 seconds ish, makes the fight a joke.

Hold your weapon arts button till the sword is fully glowing and hit light attack. Practice outside before going in. It does like ~5k dmg to him. Takes 4 hits to kill him. You'll laugh at how easy it was after you master it.

When you get the storm ruler you have to hold down the weapon arts button until you see a tornado surround the sword takes about 5seconds to charge then while still using weapon arts smack him (still need to be holding weapon art button or it just does 40damage) youll know you did it right when you hit him for a couple thousand

I agree wtih him, wel i didnt see the guide, i just went to his throne and there was the sword with the message "only a storm can kill a tree" or something like that, so i figured out you had to use it to kill him, charge all the sword (while holding it with both hands) so you can use the weapon's special power, and you'll see the damage he takes. I killed him wtihout taking a hit.

I figured that out finally haha...I am stupid. What a joke boss lol.
