Anyone with generic controller can play?

Tried a Ps3 controller and didin't work, tried a ps2 controller and didn't work, try a generic xbox (dazz) 360 controller and still didn't work... Any Suggestions? Think gonna have to play with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouse and keyboard.

I'm using a wireless xbox 360 controller. Haven't had any problems at all. Does the controller work for different games? Maybe it's not set up correctly?

same, using DS4 input for my PS4 controller and the only thing it recognizes is the trackpad as a mouse...doesn't recognize the PS4 controller at all. Will restart and see if it fixes

Wireless Xbox 360 controller works fine for me.

You could try x360ce. My controller didn't work without it.

There are no WIndows drivers for PS controllers. They will not work natively no matter what you do in any WIndows programs. Some times an emulator program will work. But there is no guarantee. Blame Sony for not making Windows drivers. And I doubt they ever will. An xbox 360 wired or wireless controller is your best bet. But you still have to install the drivers. Its not just going to work by plugging it in. The game will not even see it till you install the Microsoft Xbox drivers. The game does not install drivers for you.

Mine works with an Xbox 360 controller but I have no idea why it works, I have made no configuration changes so I probably cannot be much help to you, I just set it up with the default windows driver

even with DS4 emulator for the PS4 controller, after restarting the game, it still does not recognize anything aside from the PS4 controller's trackpad

I own:
- PS3's Dual Shock 3 Sixaxis,
- Tracer model: Scorpion TRJ-114, (Generic USB Joystick) [it's gamepad but whatever...]
- SpeedLink model: Strike^2 .black SL-6535-SBK 70.081
and I have spent several hours trying to make those controlers work.

The most I've got so far was on Tracer Scorpion, the left stick was working ingame, I could walk around (nothing more). It was working in windows for sure - check via driver and x360ce.

I can't get my Dual Shock 3 to work even in Windows with the help of SCP-DS3-Driver/SCP Server in any way, at least I think it's not working coz the leds (1-4) are blinking all the time.

My SpeedLink gamepad is badly damaged but I've tried on it basically the same things as on Tracer Scorpion. *Copied: It was working in windows for sure - check via driver and x360ce.*

Obviously none of them work in the game properly.

The programs I've tried:
- x360ce (I'm familiar with it, did it for me for DkS2)
- SCP Server/Driver/DS3 USB Drive (for DualShock 3 Sixaxis)
- Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories 1.2
- Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0

PS: I have played for quite some time on KBM (3h~) but it's not acceptable to go on like this. Please help me.

The game does not advertise it is compatible with Plystation Controllers. Just get a 360 contoller.

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FromSoftware's job to make this game more accesible not on only one chosen set up. Things are not improving, actually I would say they are doing worse and worse job on this side of metters. 3rd port on PC and it's as bad if not worse than all of previous ones before.
I will not pay 500 zł (120 euro) for one game. I already own 3 controllers I will not buy controller to the console I don't own to play one game. I count on community on this metter since they do better job than FromSoftware.
