Game won't open

When I launch the game it keeps loading and when the little box that says "Preparing to launch Dark Souls 3" it loads then flicks off and back on forever. So it never loads.

Same problem here, as well as several more people all over several forums. The link pasted above just gives general obvious suggestions, none of which solves the issue.

I just bought this game and it won't launch... same thing op described.

*edit* BTW I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to expect a game or any program to run after purchasing. This is frustrating, and yes I have a decent computer.

i simply exited steam and re entered and it is working for me now. I am always logged on and i am set to auto sign in etc.

i had the same issue and it was fixed by restarting steam.

Hey man, I need your help. I'm having a similar problem. My PC can easily run this game. i have run it twice now already (New pc build) on this pc. I have reinstalled, validated game cache files, shut down background programs that may interfere, etc. It loads the preparing to launch window really quick then dissapears and doesn't run. im very frustrated by this and i cannot find help anywhere. please help?

I got my Dark Souls 3 to work by shutting down my computer, but cancelling it when it showed what applications it was closing. It may be a problem with a confilcting program.

CHECK YOU'RE STEAM UPDATES, I just updated steam and it worked!!!!!!
