I did a quick benchmark with fraps yesterday (running through starter zone). Everything maxed out but motion blur, resolution was 900p (1600x900).

avg FPS: 60
min FPS: 53

1920x1080 on high about 40fps or so. Switching settings to low, medium, or max seems to leave Fps about the same without much difference. Which is really weird.

The game is not optimized very well, this is "intended" behaviour. However you can still squeeze a few FPS out of the game if you really need them:

They never said anything about the poor optimization being intended. Every AAA title suffers from horrible optimization post launch. Especially when they were made for PC instead of just being ported.

It would be better if games were all developed specifically for PC and ported to consoles. That way PC games get great optimization, plenty of graphical options, and a PC friendly UI. Then the console ports would also be good because the console player base is very large and would make a huge fuss about the same ♥♥♥♥ PC has to put up with and end up getting a proper game. It's a win-win for gamers everywhere. And I guess I'll give the guide a shot. Nothing really seems to change the fps anyway unless I just missed something.

add the game manually inside your game list in nvidia control panel if he is not already there, then set the gpu to work at full speed as soon as the game launch

Sounds like CPU bottleneck then
