If I start as Pyro, and wanted more Miracles like a Cleric, is that possible?

Yes, whenever you level up you get the option to choose where your points go.

If you started out as a pyro, and want to use Cleric Miracles, just level points into Faith

Then you would just level up the appropriate stats when you're able to. You can start out as any class and still build the character the way you want.

What he said. Classes are more or less just a starting point; you can level up your character in the way you want as your progress.

Also, there is an NPC later that will allow you reallocate stat points.

The only things classes influence are the starting invested points, so when you will reset your points (maybe) you will always be reset at the starting invested points, hence why people go for Deprived...then again there are classes that are more cost effective.

How so? Deprived start at SL1 with a median stat of 10, giving them the most stats per level. The rest of the starting classes have between 10 and 11 median value, but are at a higher soul level.

Deprived will have the most stats with equal amounts of souls spent.

Deprived does not have an advantage. All classes will equalize.
