FIXED: Wii U Pro Controller not working?
I've figured out how to get it working

1. While WiinUSoft is running but DS3 is closed, open up Device Manager (windows search for "device manager" or Win+R and type "devmgmt.msc")
2. Under Human Interface Devices, look for entries named HID-compliant game controller
3. You want to disable the one that corresponds to your wii u pro controller (and not the emulated controller). Right click and choose "Disable" to disable them. You'll know you hit the right one when WiinUSoft crashes.
4. Now start DS3. Once it's loaded, reenable the HID-compliant game controller you disabled (right click, choose "Enable"). Then start WiinUSoft again. DS3 should recognize your controller again.

Not sure if you have to do this everytime but it worked for me.

Original fix derived from this guide for the first Dark Souls: https://steamcommunity.com/app/211420/discussions/0/611696927916689709/

I'm trying to use my Wii U Pro Controller with Dark Souls 3 using WiinUSoft, and it's not responding at all in the game. I've used this for every other game and steam big picture and it works fine. (WiinUSoft emulates a 360 controller, so it should work.)

I heard that DS3 doesn't like having multiple controllers. My windows 10 devices window shows a couple of other controllers i assume refer to the original controller along with the emulated 360 one. I can't remove those as they're necessary to make the controller work.

Has anyone figured out how to get their wii u controllers working with DS3?

It's not unlike the software people w/ playstation controllers use to simulate an xbox controller.

I guess I'll also report that my Mayflash USB adapter for the WiiU controller works fine for DS3.

Nice find. Would you be willing to draft up a tutorial that I can post on WiinUPro.com?

Does not work for me, sadly.

By the way, a window pops up when I disable/enable the HID entry that asks me to restart my PC (which I decline). Does it do the same for you? I'm on Windows 10 and I'm using the hotfix that doesn't require the Toshiba stack.

I dunno if that'd be a satisfying fix for the issue. Iunno much about controller drivers but would it be possible to have an option to hide the original controller automaticallly? I think one of the dualshock 4 tools does this.

I get those sometimes but I ignored them. I'm also on Windows 10 but using the Toshiba stack

WiinUSoft doesn't install it's own driver, it utilizes others instead (and/or for now). I would have to check out the tool to see how it works. I haven't yet dug into Windows' innerds.

Hi, nothing new ?

Cause it's really boring that we have to do this every time.

Strange, never heard of people using this for this purpose

Is it any good?

Yes, the controller is really cool, but it's so boring to set up.

I don't know of any other fixes for this. It really is annoying. I ended up going out buying a Steam Link, and played on that. It works seamlessly w/ Wii U Pro Controllers.
