First boss too easy?

yes, i was like oh my god in in the second phase but then it got easier there

I died over 20 times on the first boss... This is my entry into the series however and I'm using Keyboard and Mouse

I tried for about an hour with the Merc class, then realized how horrible I was at rolling, went to the Warrior, and then beat him on my first try.

You only need to know how to roll and then you get gud

easy as that (at least for me)

Its the equivlent to Asylum Demon of course its going to be easy.

Well, it's the "tutorial boss" for a reason. Got him on my first try and the ice dog in tutorial area. But the first real zone (High Wall of Lothric) is quite difficult compared to previous games' first zones. Never had trouble in first zones before, but still stuck on this one. Slowly making progress.

First boss is a good introduction. Compare to DS1, the asylum boss was a pushover that essentially taught you how to do the drop attack.

He killed me a number of times but mostly because I was trying to get used to dodging. I played a super tank build in dark souls so I'm used to blocking and occasionaly fat rolling. Learning to not use a shield is tricky.

Using the Mercenary, it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible, but mostly the second phase for me, until I just spammed it and got lucky on rolls.

First time playing Dark Souls at all. Rolled Thief and died like 20 times to him but then I pulled my head out of my ass and realized that I was bouncing around like a F'ing idiot. So i stopped doing that and then killed him easily.
