He goes out to one of the gravestones in the cemetery and has a few more lines of dialogue but you'll need to teleport to the boss area to speak with him again cause of the fog walls

You know the area before firelink shrine that you walk through after the first boss? Did you play the first area with your eyes closed? o.O

Like I said you'll have to use the bonfire to teleport to it
