"Frame rate unsuitable for online play"

Every time I load into the game, I get told that my framerate is "unsuitable for online play" and booted back to the main menu - My frame rate should be fine, considering I'm playing at the MINIMUM GRAPHICAL SETTINGS!

Anyone got a fix, or is this another bug in the PoS known as Dark Souls 3?

I get this when my USB headset is plugged in; 5-10fps in-game and then that error message. If I boot the game without it plugged in my framerate is perfect.

Restarting doesn't work. Unplugging and plugging in controller doesn't work. Lowering settings doesn't work.

I've restarted about 4-5 times now, though. :T

The only thing plugged into my USB is my controller, and my mouse + keyboard.

I have the same issue, I even have SLI cards running with a 3.4 quad core. I have tried everything to fix this and nothing works. Lower setting, windowed mode, turning off setting. I am trying to re-install the game, and if that does not work I guess I will try unplugging my head set? That seems weird...if all else fails I'm going to PS4 for it

For me at least I'm pretty sure its my graphics card. Double check what yours is.

I have the same issue only it happens randomly, at times I play the game for 2 hours straight with some low frame-rate spikes here and there but I'm not booted to the main menu. And at other times I play for 5 minutes or more with smooth frame rate and I suddenly get kicked because "Frame rate too low for online play". It's completely arbitrary and highly annoying as I can't have fun either summoning or invading

Try messing with the graphics settings, like setting things to low- see if that does anything.

first thing I did after it happened, put everything on low, turned off everything that could be turned off (graphics wise). And yet it still randomly happens

its fine for the first 5 minutes then this message comes up followed by unable to play in offline mode once i have either launched into game or loaded back to main menu with same error message except instead of online mode its now saying offline mode. I am tired of relaunching teh gamke at best every 5 minutes, at worse after a minute.

Who thought this feature was a good idea...
"Your FPS is too low so we you will have to look at the floor if you wan't to play online " Seems a bit counterintuitive.

I don't know why it has to kick you back to the main menu whenever it happens. Seems like a bad design choice.

I get it to work better if I have things set to a 800 window.

Might be a problem if I'm having weaker processor ? ( AMD Athlon II 4 x 640 )
RAM is more than enough
Video Card more than decent.
Might be that my weaker processor cuts capabilities of my GPU?
Tried all 3D settings , all graphics are low. On offline mode I just get sometimes game laggy like 3-5 secs / 1 hour gameplay. And still I get kicked a lot from online play because of frames... Don't know really why my FPS jumping from 60-2 . Have no idea what to do... Should try better processor or should wait for further patches. Because I think that graphical optimization of game is really poor.
