There are things in Bloodborne and DS1 and 2 that can all be linked to each other. From items of characters and a piece of clothing.

Hard to say if it's more than just a cute reference.
Maybe 50/50, nobody can really tell.

Edit: Oh and DsS also, of course

someone had a theory that bloodborne and dark souls might be connected universe not in time, but in dimension kinda like jotunheim, midgard and asgard are all part of yggdrasil the world tree and different "realms"

the Souls games go
Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3

BB is an entirely different seriess with a different team, just has the same company and had the director from demons souls, dark souls 1
the reason people REALLY dont like Ds2 is because Miyazaki didnt work on it because he was working on BB while the Souls team was doing ds2

Demon's Souls isn't part of the Dark Souls series.

considering miyazaki himself has said that he purposefully made the story of every game somewhat vague so that it was open to interpretation, even for himself kinda tells that in the overal picture, its impossible to say for sure they arent connected because for all we know, quite literally in fact, its up to every person to interpret it as he wish based on whats given.

Forgot who gave the dimension theory and i cant find it back but i like his view on it and i adhere to it

Miyazaki confirmed they're all part of the same universe.

No.

I doubt it. You get bored of the same story and setting. I doubt they are connected in any way.

I don't think it matters officially if they are or not I think its fun to interpret the world(s) for yourself, especially being that the vagueness lends itself to that.

I love how these theories are as good as the conspiracy ones.

Miyazaki has said in an interview that this is how he like stories, open for interpretation and imagination and whatnot.
I cant help but agree when i look at the souls and bloodborne games

Man, if that was true I wouldn't have spent so much money on DC Comics stuff.
All their Earth and Earth 2 etc. that connects all their iterations of their characters.
