Door is locked after dragon slayer armor ( Spoilers about certain things !)

Help someone, its been like 3 hours of me running around in all the different areas looking for a key to the wooden doors after the dragonslayer armor boss. The elevator the the right is unmoveable ( understandable as i need to get to the other side to open it) but the wooden doors are locked and i cant progress. I went to the place where champion gundyr is and got everything there, as well as exploredd the 2nd shrine but at ths point im out of areas to explore. please help someone

Hi i'm also having this exact same problem
Although this is some sort of a glitch or error in the game
This happened on my 3rd play through after defeating dragon slayer armor.
I'm stuck at a locked door and with no options.
If anyone has a fix to this or is experiencing the same thing comment here

You need to kill all 3 Lords of Cinder first - Yhorm, Abyss Watchers, Aldrich - then the key will appear in front of the door.

Have you beaten all of the cinder lords? If yes, the key should be on a body in front of the door and the bonfire.

You need to defeat the initial four lords in order to get the key. That is:

Cursed Great Wood
Abyss Watchers
Aldrich
Yhorm the Giant

You get the key after defeating them, it appears on a body outside the door only after that. You don't need to have defeated all of them to get to that point in the game. I realized I skipped Yhorm the Giant after I got to the door.

Editted: I had mistaken one minor boss for a Lord of Cinder.

You skipped most of the game so it wont drop till you go do the rest of the game.

If you killed Yhorm with Siegward, make sure to talk to him at the bonfire.

Wait, Siegward can survive that? 4 times I've fought him now and each time he's killed him in like 10 seconds. He won't keep his attention on me and just wails on poor Siggy till he dies.
