Yeah, anyways, the crowns from DS2 allowed BotC to bypass the undead curse, that's why the game's refering to him as the one who went beyond death.
This kinda bothered me how Botc's effect on the cycle wasn't touched on by dsk3. but they still have dlc and such
Well, at least BotC managed to escape from the undead curse, with the crowns and Vendrick's blessing, at least he got something going for him , heh.
is it gonna be another DS (darksouls 4) ? possible yes because the title still can sell, but keep it in your mind the next one is not from Miyasaki any more. it just a From software version just like DS2 .
Dunno, it's not really specified, perhaps BotC took the Aldia's ending route ( Leave the throne and not rekindling the first flame ) since he escaped from the curse anyways with the crowns and the blessing, he literally went beyond death.
Or he actually did rekindle it in the end by looking at the Drang armor description.
I'm not really sure what to make off of it, just theories at the moment.
Actually, he does count DS2, he even helped in the creation of the DLCs and a bit of Scholars.

so i wondering for the dark betrayal ending, when you give the firekeeper the eyes, she says that she sees that eventually tiny flames will arise from the darkness. Im not sure if this is the actual age of man shes talking about that is the end of the cycle or just the cycle restarting itself.
It's the latter, basically the cycle will restart in time, the 3rd ending ends it completely, by combining the dark and the fire, ushering in a real age of man.
