Opened the tower too soon?

I opened the tower with the key yet I saw no patches after I got the firekeeper soul... what did I do wrong!

He is in another area, that is his fallback if you miss him there

I got tower key right after I did the onions guys quest vs the demon will i still be able to progress his and patches questline?

If you go up the tower when Siegward is in the well he will still close the gate behind you. The quest isn't broken.

I missed him, I did the same as you. All I did was get farther in the game and went back to where the fire keeper soul was and ran back down and there he was

Patches appears much farther in the game, don't worry.

Whatever you do, don't activate the Irithyll Dungeon bonfire before you speak to Siegward in the kitchen, even if the bonfire is before said kitchen. That'll break both his questline and Greirat's.

Yeah... unless you read the wiki and know exactly what to do, you'll break every single questline on your first playthrough. Have you killed High Lord Wolnir yet?

No I rerolled a deprived for that reason cause I screwed up the usurper questline... I can't wait for someone to make a road map like they did for bloodborn

Yeah, I screwed up Anri's questline as well 'cause come on, only way to find the Smouldering Lake for the first time is by complete accident.

Mine was because a skeleton hit me that propelled me to anri that did 1 damage to her then she turned hostile on me...

Ouch. But yeah, just a few steps before Wolnir there's a bridge. Cut the ropes to the bridge and use it as a ladder to find a completely optional area whose only goal is to get you some pyromancies. Plus that's where Horace is hidden; if you kill Wolnir before finding him it's bye bye Anri's questline.

Yeah I know her questline by heart lol since I've read it over and over this is my 3rd attempt at it might as well try for all the other npc questlines

Well I got the fire keeper soul so I think I may have screwed up well I'll repost on this thread till I know for sure
