how to stop kicking

im on mouse and keyboard, and when im trying to attack it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kicks, idont want to break their block because they usually are not even blocking. how do i rebind this or fix it?

stop pressing up and attack at the same time

it's a W+LMB combination... so you can't really fix it. it is going to plague your entire playthrough.

well they move when you attack them so i dont know how to not move.

Kicking happens when movement is neutral, and you move forwards and attack at the same time. Unless its just a quirk with mouse and keyboard, you shouldn't be having that problem unless you are letting go of W, and then pressing W and whatever the light attack button is, if you are holding W and attack it won't happen.

what i did was i rebound moving keys to esdf

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old post but... here I am.

Some people just saying "oh, use a controller" or "buy a controller". Some people like me doesn't have the money to spend on a controller at the moment, so they will try to play without it.

Unfortunately there's no fix for this ♥♥♥♥ port of this game on pc. Game was totally designed for controller, you even need mods to get the PC keys icons. So yeah, not playing for now just because of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome port.

500hrs of gameplay with mouse and keyboard, the thing with the kicking was kind of annoying at first, still happens sometimes, but no big deal actually. It is simply human error.
Game is totally fine on m+kb.

Lol! Okay...

You have 3 options.
1) get used to it, understand what input exactly causes it and be mindful of it doing combat.
2) buy a controller though that's still won't fix the issue if you haven't done #1
3) Try EMU Light on Nexus Mods to inject a cool down to prevent accidental kicks though I feel it's still a bandaid for issue #1
