Transposition 1x1 - what are the best boss soul items?

Just wondering if anybody already looked into the matter. Sure, all of the weapons and other items you can get from bosses' souls look damn sweet, but as you always get the choice between two things it would be nice to know which boss soul should be converted to which item to gain maximum benefits. It is of course depending a lot on character build, but maybe there are some really bad weapons in there in terms of moveset or scaling which should be avoided, and maybe there is a particular ring which is too awesome to not have it.

I think you guys get the idea, lets talk about which boss is best transformed to which powerful item...

the great sword form the tree boss is nice and also the great axe from the dragon armor soul because it scales with faith. Havels ring from the lost deamon souls is also good. But in my opinion there are better weapons found somewhere in the game than the crafted boss weapons. I just used the boss souls to get all spells, pyromancies etc.

I liked the description of Pontiffs Eye, which can be made from Vordt's soul. Sounds a lot like a touch of Bloodborne.

Sadly the ring has very limited usefulness. It needs to have several hits right after you take damage to proc, and even then only heals a very limited amount. Even with a quick weapon it doesn't proc often enough to warrant it's slot, it seems.

That is indeed sad to hear. Its a bit shameful that a lot of interesting items get that threatment in the whole series. They are not worth the while, which is terrible since there are a lot of cool items and weapons in every entry of the series that get ignored just because they are so poorly designed.

the sword spear from nameless is decent because it impersonates the dragonslayer spear a bit.
