Game breaking bug: Archdeacon doesn't drop the doll
I have done the following and the doll still hasn't dropped:

Exited the area and gone to Firelink then returned.
Looted the boss corpse.
Exited and reentered the game.
Tried passing through the barrier. Failed.

I didn't delete or leave the doll, it never dropped in the first place.

I can't progress without this doll and I really don't want to start from scratch and be unable to experience the new content at the same time as my friends.

Anyone have a fix for this?

I thought I talked to an NPC in Firelink. Some girl and her "Of Mice and Men" dude.

I exhausted her dialogue, she mentioned the place, but she didn't give me the doll.

She didn't give me one either, but I was able to enter the city.

Uh, I've seen this issue like 3 or 4 times in the last couple of hours. Did the recent patch break this?
