Not finding any summon signs. Help please

There are two npc's you can summon who are more than enough. I killed him on my second go.

You can summon Black Hand Gotthard to help you with this boss fight. If you are looking at the boss door, the sign will be directly behind you. Must be Embered.
You can summon Londor Pale Shade to help you with this boss fight. If you are looking at the boss door, the sign will be to the right and behind you infront of a statue. Must be Embered.
You can summon Anri of Astora to help you with this boss fight. If you are looking at the boss door, the sign will be to the left and behind you infront of a statue. Must be Embered.
This boss is not an optional boss fight as you need to fight him in order to gain access to the next area.
